Starting in February, we are expanding our course offerings \u2013 and inviting you to dive even deeper into Cuban dance culture.<\/p><\/div>\n\n

Afro-Cuban folkloric dances are traditional dances that stem from Cuba’s rich cultural and spiritual roots. They are deeply connected to African heritage, religion, the Orishas, rituals, rhythms, and stories that express identity, history, and community.<\/p><\/div>\n\n

\ud83c\udf3f Folklore is power, elegance, grounding, and freedom. It connects you with your body, strengthens presence and self-confidence, and brings depth to your dancing \u2013 including Salsa, Rumba, or Afro-Fusion.<\/p><\/div>\n\n

This weekly course is an invitation to explore these traditions in an applied, joyful, and respectful way.<\/p><\/div>\n\n

Laura Torrenova Lopez is a dancer and teacher specializing in Afro-Cuban folklore. She discovered her passion for Cuban dances at the age of 16. Since then, she has trained intensively with renowned maestros from the Conjunto Folkl\u00f3rico de Cuba, as well as with inspiring teachers in Cuba and around the world. For Laura, Afro-Cuban folklore is much more than dance \u2013 it is culture, history, identity, and spiritual expression.
