A WEEKEND OF INTENSIVE LEARNING
José Carlos is one of the most sought-after Cuban dance teachers in Europe. We invited him to Berlin for a weekend of intensive workshops — a different format than what you’d usually find at a festival.
Each workshop runs 90 minutes. That’s a deliberate choice — enough time to actually get into the material, ask questions, repeat things, and leave with something that sticks. No rushing through concepts just to fit a festival schedule.
Each session goes deep into its own world, from the foundations of Afro-Cuban movement and the Orishas, to Rumba Guaguancó and a Timba Solo Choreography. Two days, four workshops, a lot to take home.
We’re also offering a dedicated 90-minute session for teachers, professionals and dancers operating at a pro, semi-pro or advanced teaching level — a chance to work with José Carlos on a different level entirely. Spots are limited and participation is by application only.
