Deep Dive Sessions focus on one single topic and explore it in real depth. Instead of rushing through figures and different topics, we take the time to truly understand, practice it with intention, and finally own it with confidence. You’ll get plenty of time to break things down, ask questions, repeat, refine, and build real skills that stay with you. This approach helps you stop memorizing patterns and understand our beautiful dance and music and start dancing with clarity, freedom, and control – in class and on the social dance floor.
Deep Dive #4: Closed Positions
Closed Position partnerwork is one of the most beautiful things we do in Casino / Salsa Cubana – and often where the real connection between leader and follower happens.
In our Beginner Classes you’ve already learned the basics: Saloneo, Pa Entro y Pa Fuera (Paseala), Enroscala, Coca Cola, Reina. In this Deep Dive, we go deeper: we repeat and refine the fundamental techniques of leading and following in close connection, and add beautiful new elements and poses you haven’t learned in class yet – things you can start using on the social dance floor right away.
By the end of the session, you won’t just know Closed Position – you’ll understand it, control it, and dance it with confidence.
