Cuban Salsa Power Berlin presents
Lotta
Cuban Salsa, Rueda de Casino
Background
I’m Lotta, I’m from Berlin, and I’ve been dancing since I was a kid. My dance background is mainly in urban styles. Over the years, I’ve danced a lot of hip-hop and have also explored Afro, Dancehall, Waacking, Voguing, House, Tribal Belly Fusion, and other styles. This versatility still shapes how I experience movement and music today.
In 2018, I added Salsa Cubana—and with it, a whole new dance world. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching in a university setting. Since then, I’ve regularly been out at socials, workshops, and international festivals, taking every opportunity to learn something new, keep developing, and bring back inspiration. On my trip to Cuba, I had the chance to learn, among others, from Lázara Nápoles and Leivan García of the Conjunto Folclórico Nacional de Cuba.
Motivation
In class, I don’t just want to teach steps—I want to create a real feel for movement, connection, and music, and a space where you can try things out, learn, and have fun together, while also learning the qualities of good leading and following.
I am...
Full of energy, good vibes, and empathy
What excites me
I love developing as a dancer—especially when it pushes me a bit beyond my comfort zone. When I’m not dancing, you’ll find me on the tennis court.
