Movement Practice Special: Afro-Cuban with Live Percussion
Our next Movement Practice will be special: On June 7th, we’ll dance to live percussion at Cuban Salsa Power Berlin.
There’s nothing like the feeling of dancing to real drums. The music resonates differently – directly in the body. And that’s exactly what this Sunday is all about.
The workshop will be taught by Laura – our specialist in Afro-Cuban dances. She will introduce you deeply to the movement quality of Afro-Cuban dances. Not dry technique – but real body training: isolation, grounding, rhythm, expression. Movements from which everything we know in Casino, Rumba, and Timba originates.
Whether you want to delve deeper into Afro-Cuban dances – for example, as a complement to our course on Thursday – or if you want to improve your movement in Casino or Timba: This workshop will help you better understand Cuban movement sequences and integrate them into your body.
