What should I wear?

Just come as you feel comfortable. We recommend comfortable clothes, preferably sporty and cozy.

Do I need dance shoes?

Clean change of shoes is mandatory. However, they don't have to be dance shoes. In the "Afro Cuban Dances" courses, we dance barefoot or in socks.

Can I sign up without a partner?

Yes, you can come to all our classes without a partner. We work with partner changes in the course. You don't have to switch if you want to stay with your partner (voluntary). For Ladystyling and Solo, you don't need a partner as it's solo dancing.

Level

Classes at Cuban Salsa Power Berlin are divided into levels. Ask your teacher where you can be placed if you are unsure.

Intermediate

For the Intermediate level, you need a solid foundation, which you learn in Beginner 2. At a minimum, you should confidently master figures like Sombrero, Enchufla y Entra, Dile Que No, and Saloneo.

Advanced

For all those who have reached a good level in Cuban Salsa. Intermediate classes should no longer be a challenge. You are ready for a demanding class without compromises.

Solo

You should already be dancing at an Intermediate level. Rhythm, basic steps, and coordination are no longer a problem for you, allowing you to fully concentrate on yourself and your movement in this class.

Beginner 1

For this class, you don't need any prior experience and can join at any time.

Beginner 2

For this class, you should have attended the Beginner 1 course. At a minimum, you should know the basic steps (Casino, Salsa, Open) as well as Dile Que No, Enchufla, Mirala Bonita (Follower Turn).
